The solution is working as our Chief Operating Officer (COO). As the COO, you are given the responsibility of operating (and growing) a well-established sales and marketing automation agency established in 2012.
You work directly with both founders to make important decisions on client management, partner relationships, contractor hirings/management, and day-to-day culture and business operations. You and the West Coast President (Santiago) will create repeatable and scalable processes to grow profitability.
The potential transformation is to be your own boss but has the accountability and mentorship from people who can help you short-cut your learnings and make the grind worthwhile and not futile.
Change can be scary and you may not be cut out for entrepreneurship so you need to be willing to accept this soft landing into entrepreneurship knowing it is riskier than a normal job.
These fears also haunted the current founders Santiago Orozco and Paul Davidescu before they took the plunge into working with Tangoo out of University. What if it didn’t work?
It didn’t really work for a long time, but we kept grinding and learning. We re-invented and pivoted our business model multiple times but got wiser every time and more people respected our hustle. We started to realize that we got incredibly good at the art of sales and launching new brands quickly with our sales and entrepreneurship process.
In 2019, we took these realizations and began to multiply our efforts by having internal staff take the reins on sister companies. This food magazine and mortgage brand are quickly-recognized as emerging disrupters and we caught the bug to plant more seeds internally and also, help more entrepreneurs accelerate their dreams with our services.
The transformation is that our founders are building our internal brands while they work in the most interesting hubs on the planet. We are working towards investing capital and sales acceleration into brands designed to help society reach better levels of creative flow and reduce futile stress - all so we can better work on ideas that solve the world's most pressing problems. We now have the means to invest in assets that give them the freedom to stress less and work on more longer-term value without worrying about bills.

REQUIREMENTS:
Sales experience through training and real-life execution is extremely important
Competent and willing to support all team members in their roles
Excellent customer service skills and empathy for merchant clients’ needs and problems
Capable of diligent time management and does not get distracted by other tasks
The ability to keep both team and customer morale up by always being positive and constructive in your feedback
A sense of humor and passion for connecting people together is highly encouraged
Responsibilities:
Much of your time will be self-determined. Given the role and level of responsibility, the expectation is you would manage yourself to hit or exceed your goals with mentors available at any moment.
The most important aspect will be hitting predetermined levels of profitability so that the organization can self-fund additional growth. Below is a breakdown of where 100% of your allocated hours will go.
(50%): Manage client requests and assist the founders in client training
(20%): Use our LinkedIn Automation software to book client sales demonstrations and close deals alongside our founders
(10%): Manage LinkedIn Message Fulfillment + Appointment Setting
(10%): Track Sales and Overdue Invoices from Clients
(5%) Film sales training webinars and ideate on marketing ideas
(5%): Approve weekly marketing activities from the contractor team
Compensation:
30+ Hours a week (Part-time will be considered as well)
An entry-level base to keep you secure and a sizeable commission incentive to keep you hungry
You may work remotely or come into the Vancouver or Toronto co-working offices
Mentorship & Perks:
You will be able to join our weekly 9:02 AM PST morning Zoom call to bring ideas and issues to our core team
You may use Slack or text your mentor whenever it is appropriate
You have a weekly one-on-one with your mentor to go over your learning and job objectives to make sure they are always aligned
You have the perk of using any of our paid online courses in Facebook Ads, copywriting, and SEO which will save you thousands of dollars if you had to buy them yourself!
